Choosing a Fall Color Palette for Your Wedding

7 September 2010 1,031 views 2 Comments

This weekend I attended a beautiful pre-fall wedding.  The wedding decor and the wedding party were decked out in a fall color palette that was refreshing since we’ve had such beautiful fall like weather here lately.  It surely helped everyone there feel like fall.

A fall wedding brings the opportunity to choose some beautiful fall colors for your wedding color palette and decor. This particular bride had chosen a warm ruby red,  brilliant black and the classic white for her wedding decor, everything from the flowers to the cake, from her very own shoes to the candles were in these signature colors.

What are some other fall wedding color palettes that a bride might choose?

Browns and Ivories. A few years ago a friend of mine got married in November.  Her wedding was gorgeous decked out in browns and ivories.  From the rich brown table clothes and beautiful table accessories to the silky ivory gown she wore everything was lush and rich.  A brown and ivory color palette can include:

  • Rich brown bridesmaids dresses.
  • Beautiful ivory wedding gown.
  • A delicious and gorgeous wedding cake with mocha frosting.
  • Unique wedding accessories in browns and creams.

Burgundy and silver. Years ago I was a bridesmaid in my cousin’s wedding.  All the bridesmaids wore deep burgundy gowns the decor was filled with white and silver from the tulle to the ribbon.  Beautiful white candles were tied with sparkly silver ribbon.  A burgundy and silver wedding could include:

  • Beautiful fall invitations with silver embellishments.
  • Lots of ribbon and tulle.
  • Flowers in shades of burgundy and mauve accented with white.

These are just a few of the possible fall color palettes.
