Fall is a wonderful season to plan a wedding.  The colors are so rich and warm, including yellow, brown, orange, gold, green, burgundy, tan and cream to name a few.  With fall being the season of harvest, there are several different themes to choose from.  A traditional harvest theme, an apple theme, or even a Halloween theme would work well, it all depends on how adventurous you are.

Not only are the colors amazing, but the decorating possibilities are countless.  Adding elements from nature fits perfectly with a fall wedding, and also gives your wedding a unique feel.  Fruits, wreaths, twigs, and even pine cones can become a part of your wedding decor and can all be used to make stunning centerpieces.

The wedding reception is a great place to add fall elements to your wedding as well.  Although the traditional wedding cake may be white, with a fall wedding you may want to consider going with a chocolate cake.  Both white and chocolate cakes would look amazing with the outline of leaves etched on them, or a cascade of leaves down the side of the cake.

Fall wedding favors are also fun.  Depending on your theme, you can go with something cute such as cookie cutters or bookmarks, or you may want to go a little more on the “wild side” and use place card holders that are shaped like leaves in wonderful fall colors.
