Wedding Invitation Don'ts
There are a few things regarding wedding invitations that must be avoided.
- Do not include a reference to a bridal registry or other gift information. It is really tacky to ask for money or other specific gifts.
- Do not add a "No Gifts, Please" notation. If you really do not want gifts, family members or attendants can share this information.
- Do not print: "No Children" or "Adults Only". An invitation includes only those to whom it is addressed.
- Do not print dress requirements on the wedding invitation. A small notation on the lower right corner of a reception card may state "black tie preferred" or "white tie invited".
- Do not use mailing labels on the envelopes.
- Do not mix fonts or typefaces on the invitation text.
